Classic cakes
New to these cakes?
Honey cake (medovik) is the best known: thin honey layers stacked with a soft cream until they melt together. Napoleon is its flaky cousin. Spartak brings cocoa into the layers. They are less sweet than most American cakes and taste even better the next day.
For birthdays, holidays and Sunday tables
A classic cake is the easiest order we take: pick the cake, pick the day, at least a week ahead. We can add a simple decoration or a message on top.
Questions
What is a honey cake?
Honey cake, or medovik, is a classic Eastern European layered cake: many thin honey layers with a soft cream that settle together into a tender cake. It is less sweet than most American cakes.
How far ahead should I order?
At least one week before your date for any order. For weddings and big parties, message as soon as you have your date: popular weekends fill up first.
Can you handle allergies?
Tell us about any allergy when you message and we will tell you honestly what we can do. Our kitchen uses wheat, eggs, milk and nuts, so we cannot promise an allergen-free cake.
How do I order? Can I order online?
There is no online checkout. Send us a message through the order form, by text, or on Instagram, and we plan your cake with you and confirm the details.
Have a date in mind?
Tell us about it. We need at least a week, and the sooner you message, the more room we have to make it special.
